Originally built in the 1800s, the Propeller Factory was home to the Alexander Thomson & Sons Pattern Makers -- a business that specialized in propellor making.
The space recently underwent a large renovation that turned the factory into a modern Jersey City home. The exterior of the home still features the classic historic origins, with a zinc-clad facade and the company's original sign. The interior has a rustic and industrial aesthetic, using salvaged wood columns and joists, concrete floors and large machinery on display. The design team added pops of luxury by placing marble and brass all around for a contemporary contrast.
