Sony showcased its upcoming accessiblity-focused controller for the PlayStation 5 currently codenamed 'Project Leonardo.' This controller is intended to allow players with disabilities to play more comfortably and more naturally for longer periods of time where typical controllers are hard to process, given the placement of the buttons.
The Project Leonardo controller appears as a round disc with a large ball-shaped joystick on the side of it. Each of the buttons, including the joystick, interior, and exterior buttons, are swappable with multiple options packaged in the box. The controller can be used either on its own, paired with a second Project Leonardo, or paired with a DualSense controller for full functionality and compatibility with any game on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
