The Prius Camper Van Makes the Four-Door Green Machine Habitable
Michael Hines — January 18, 2012 — Autos
Living in a Toyota Prius was considered difficult to do before the Prius camper van debuted at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon. This unique hybrid modification instantly turns the Prius into a livable space big enough for two.
The Prius camper van features an all-white camper shell with a pink and white interior. On the ground floor there is enough space for either a small sofa or coffee table with the second floor providing the sleeping quarters. The Prius is surprisingly roomy, and this camper shell is no exception. While I doubt that Toyota would ever mass produce something like this, there may be enough demand to convince a third party to do a limited test run of Prius camper shells.
