Google is Using Artificial Intelligence Technology to Predict Flight Delays

AI-powered predictive tech is being used in a number of ways, from mobile messaging to smart diapers, and now it's being used to predict flight delays. Google's Flight feature provides updated flight information, which comes in handy when airlines don't do so in a timely manner. Google Flights has also been recently updated so people can easily find and book flights, predict flight delays and see the explanations behind them.
Engadget explains "Its machine learning system will use historic flight status info to forecast delays, and flags them when there's at least an 80 percent confidence the prediction will come true." Google emphasizes you should still show up to the airport on time, but you'll be more prepared when you get there.
