French graphic designer and illustrator Simon Delart, recently produced a new artistic series that uses colorful geometric shapes to create stunning portraits of superheroes. Delart is well know for his unique take on popular culture and some of his previous series have dealt with iconic movie posters and recognizable vinyl records.
His latest collection continues to pay homage to pop culture, with a specific focus on creating portraits of superheroes. Delart relies on a colorful collage of geometric shapes to recreate the famous characters and some of the more memorable scenes. He plays with different colors and effects to give each portrait an abstract feel. As Delart explains, the goal of his work is to blur the lines between realism and abstraction.
Some of the most noteworthy characters featured in the collection include Iron Man, Captain America, Spiderman and Wonder Woman.
