The Portable Command Centre is a portable military command post, envisioned by BAE Systems that will allow for unprecedented levels of flexibility and control over military operations. The technology would be contained in a briefcase-sized package and would include a headset and a special pair of gloves to interact with a virtual reality display.
Once up and running, the virtual command post would be used to monitor video streams beamed in by military drones and would be leveraged to direct troops anywhere in the world. It would also be able to tap into news and social media updates in order to get information from every corner and covering every context.
Much like in video games and sci-fi movies, the Portable Command Centre could also come with virtual avatars that would be able to offer advice and assistance. Ambitious and exciting, this technology would revolutionize military
