Porsche Motorsport Launches the Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team

Luxury automobile manufacturer Porsche Motorsport has teamed up with sim racing esports organization Coanda Esports. The collaboration will see Coanda as the official esports team for Porsche, with promises of a long-term deal. Porsche’s annual esports tournament series, the Porsche Tag Heuer Esports Supercup, features a prize pool of $200,000.

After a triumphant victory in the 2021 ‘24 Hours of Le Mans’ virtual sports car race, the company has recruited a roster of virtual and real drivers to participate in future tournaments under the ‘Porsche Esports Team.’ This victory solidified Porsche’s plans to build an official esports team, with Coanda as its first partner.

Porsche is investing more in simulation racing, following the footsteps of brands like Aston Martin, Audi, and more. It is essential to note the industry's rapid growth as more automotive companies form esports teams.
