Pomi Emits Smells & Makes Faces
South Korean researchers have unveiled Pomi (Penguin Robot for Multimodal Interaction), a Robot penguin that can see, hear, touch and interact with humans by emitting smells and making faces.
Set to be available commercially, Pomi can move its lips, eyebrows and pupils to make “facesâ€. Also, the robot pet features a “heart box†on its chest with different kinds of heartbeats depending on its mood and emotional state. And to make things smelly, Pomi can emit two kinds of fragrances to showcase its emotions.
