Nintendo announced an upcoming addition to its Nintendo Switch online service that includes the addition of 'Pokemon Stadium' originally released on the Nintendo 64 platform in 1999. Pokemon Stadium was a popular title that allowed players to transfer Pokemon collected in Gameboy titles to the N64 platform to see and use their accumulated Pokemon on a bigger screen and in 3D.
Now, players will be able to enjoy the Pokemon in full 3D again with upscaling to 1080p via the Nintendo Switch Online service. However, as there will not be any method of transferring Pokemon into the game, players will need to build their teams from an array of preset characters in the game. It is important to note that the N64 titles on Switch Online require the Switch Expansion Pack, which is slightly more expensive than the standard subscription fee.
