Italian glassware brand Traga has returned with a clever vessel in the form of the Podio Cup which has been designed by the talents of Netherlands-based Maurizio Fillipi. One side of the cup is meant for drinking and the other side is meant to hold a tea light. In between, there is glass which nestles beside both water and fire.
It is made from borosilicate to ensure it is durable. The founder of Traga, Daniel Nikolovski notes, “The inspiration behind the design comes from two forces that have always shaped moments of life without asking for permission – fire and water. A glass that can contain both – a candle and a drink – becomes more than an object; it becomes a memory."
