DeckStarter is a new project by The Dieline, designed as the first "dedicated funding platform for custom designed playing cards." The aim of DeckStarter is to introduce luxury playing cards to the market by partnering with brands, artists and renowned designers. To kick off Deckstarter, two designers have created their take on luxury playing cards.
The Poetic Typography playing card set comes from Debbie Millman, President of the design division at Sterling Brands, who has previously worked on projects for major brands like P&G, Nestle, Kraft and Pepsi. The 70s-inspired Thick Lines Edition comes from Aaron Draplin of the Draplin Design Co., whose clients include Nike, the Ford Motor Company and even the Obama Administration.
Just like a Kickstarter just for playing cards, you can donate to get these cards produced, or create your own set of playing cards and start a campaign to have them made.
