Lancia, the Turin, Italy-based automaker, announced the Platum series of electric bicycles as it reshifts its company focus toward micromobiltiy. Lancia now only includes one production vehicle on its website, the Ypsilon, a small hatchback van. The Platum series features four electric bicycles, each of which designed with a slightly different focus.
The four bikes are the 'Platum Ypsilon Brio,' the 'Platum Ypsilon Incanto,' the 'Platum Estro,' and the 'Platum Genio.' The Genio is a multipurpose, all-terrain bike with a 250-watt motor priced at $1,500 USD. This is the flagship bike in the series, as the other models offer few compromises to reduce the cost.
The Estro features the same battery and motor, but with a frame more engineered toward city driving. Then, the Brio and Incanto feature weaker drivetrains with unique additions, such as the Brio's foldable frame and the Incanto's generous range.
