Swashbuckling Skull and Crossbones Headstones
References: trendhunter
Bear with me on this, as it is most certainly a random post, but after having seen one today I think these are pretty darn cool and I know you will agree.
It is unquestionable that the Jolly Roger, or skull and crossbones, is one of the most instantly-recognizable images in popular culture. Used by pirates in the 17th and 18th century, this emblem can be described visually as a skull with crossed bones beneath it.
It is a Masonic trait to have the Jolly Roger on a gravestone, with families of soldiers and sailors also favoring the macabre design.
I am a little bit strange, but I think it is perfect in this context. These graves look pretty good--well, as good as a grave can look.
As for the anchor, well, I am talking about pirate-themed graves here, so it fits--although the egg timer on the skull is too random, even for Cowbag.
