This Pineapple Express 2 Trailer is an Elaborate Prank

If you’ve been eagerly anticipating Pineapple Express 2, here’s the movie trailer that you’ve been waiting for!
Or not. Columbia Pictures has released a trailer for Pineapple Express 2, which is unfortunate news for fans of stoner humor and action movies. However, just because it’s a great April Fool's prank on movie fans doesn’t mean that trailer isn’t worth watching. Stars Seth Rogen, James Franco and Danny McBride all reprise their roles from the popular original film from 2008 in a trailer that looks like it was shot in someone’s living room with a smaller budget than people spend on their morning coffee. The results are hilarious, especially when McBride sends Rogen and Franco on a mission to assassinate Woody Harrelson, for some reason.
The Pineapple Express 2 trailer is actually a great marketing gimmick, as it is being used to promote Rogen’s new film: ‘This is the End.’
