When you first see Pillars of Time, you may want to instinctively write it off as nothing more than a piece of modern art. That would be a big mistake, as designer Matthew Crowley's new clock is a lot more functional than its artsy yet apt name would suggest.
Pillars of Time is a wooden clock with five pillars of "hands." Unlike other cleverly designed clocks, Pillars of Time is refreshingly easy to read. Each pillar has an LED light in it that tells you the exact time. The clock must have truly been a labor of love to complete, as there are 50 LED lights and over 150 feet of wiring inside.
