Surreal Photoshopped Faces

When people think of Photoshopped faces, more often than not fashion magazines and photoshoots come to mind. Yet artist Diana Chyrzynska focuses on Photoshopped faces in a much different way. She manages to create surreal imagery that incorporates the hands. As though capturing a woman shielding herself from scrutiny, the artist does one of two things: She either lets the model's facial features show through the hands impossibly or makes the hands blend into the face eerily.

Captured in black and white, the Photoshopped faces are mesmerizing. It plays tricks on people's perceptions as well. Some may be fooled into thinking that nothing is astray at first. Yet clearly these Photoshopped faces could be used as artsy decoration for a Halloween party.
