These Pepper X Meals are for Adults 18+ Only at Iceland in the UK

These Pepper X meals have been announced by Iceland Foods as a new series of products created with the namesake hot peppers to provide shoppers with a series of intensely spicy fare to try out. The meals come in two options including Chicken Tikka Masala and Chilli Mac & Cheese, which are reportedly so spicy that they have had to be paired with an age restriction to only allow shoppers aged 18 and over with the ability to purchase them. The meals are expected to be some of the hottest fare around thanks to the Pepper X that comes in at 2.69-million Scoville heat units or 53,760% hotter than jalapeños.

Head of Development Chef at Iceland Foods Matthew Worsley spoke on the Pepper X meals saying, "Our customers love spice, and they are always pushing us to turn up the heat! So, this time we have developed a range that will not disappoint. Our Pepper X® range is unlike anything we’ve ever offered to our customers before. It’s intense, it’s fiery and it’s certainly not for the faint-hearted. With intense heat comes great responsibility, so to ensure only the most experienced spice enthusiasts can take on the challenge, we’ve decided to limit sales to customers aged 18 and over.”
