Cerkahegyzo's miniature pencil sculptures take a a very unique angle on carving artscapes. The artist has created incredibly intricate sculptures of random items such as hair brushes, totem heads and chains by merely carving out the lead inside the pencil.
I really like how he incorporated the pencil head itself in most of his carvings as well.
This type of artwork requires outstanding craftsmanship and hand detailing and coordination, at which Cerkahegyzo clearly excels. Though one can only imagine how heartbreaking it would be if one of them broke while he was in the process of finishing it.
This admirable body of work by the artist is extremely creative as well as it is original. The ability to redefine common surfaces into beautiful artwork is the aspect that differentiates a true artist from the rest.
