'Patagonia Action Works' Unites People and Meaningful Causes
Madison Mackay — February 8, 2018 — Social Good
Patagonia, a company that is known for its bold political activism, created a new digital platform named 'Patagonia Action Works.' The new platform will be used to connect people to events, petitions and volunteer work through environmental agencies.
Lisa Pike Sheehy, the brand's vice president, explained: “If we could connect our community, friends and customers directly with local groups working on issues they are passionate about, suddenly these organizations would have the capacity to achieve even more. Everybody has a role to play in this movement.”
Allowing users to find relevant organizations by location and issue, the new platform will also work in reverse, letting agencies find people to help a specific cause. The Patagonia Action Works platform will be launched on a national tour through Santa Monica, New York and Chicago.
