This year, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be celebrating Earth Day with a special event called 'Party for the Planet.' Designed to be both fun and educational, the event provides a perfect way for parents to teach their children about the importance of environmentalism.
This year's Party for the Planet event will include special sessions with animal educators and conversation experts who will explain how environmental issues impact animal care at the park. During these sessions, children will be treated to special animal experiences, including feeding and training sessions. Walt Disney Imagineer and Portfolio Creative Executive Joe Rohde will also be making an appearance to discuss the new book 'The Disney Conservation Fund: Carrying Forward A Conservation Legacy.' To mark the occasion, children can take photos with Earth Day-themed props and frames passed out by the Disney PhotoPass photographers.
The event gives children and their parents a more interactive way to celebrate Earth Day and learn about how environmental change is impacting our wildlife.
