Set in Sydney, Australia's Surry Hills neighbourhood, the new Paramount House Hotel was formed inside two buildings that held the original headquarters of Paramount Picture Studios and the adjoining film storage warehouse.
Originally made in the 1940s, the structure was stitched together by Breathe -- a Melbourne-based architecture studio. The hotel now features 29 guest rooms, a restaurant and a wellness spa. The design team added a copper-clad rooftop extension to create visual drama from the street, while the interior features an industrial palette of concrete pieces, brick walls and colorful wool rugs.
Blending a loft-like aesthetic with warm pops of color, the new Paramount House Hotel is an original and luxurious travel option for movie buffs and architecture fans alike.
