‘Eelus’ is a UK artist that makes incredible portraits of paper monsters from some of the most classic horror movies.
The series features iconic monsters like The Wolfman, Frankenstein, Dracula and other creepy creatures that lurk in the deep. On top of each piece of paper being meticulously cut and placed, Eelus hand-paints on top of them to give the illusion of even more depth. The vibrant colors that are used compliment each other beautifully, as if we are seeing these monsters for the first time in full light, since they are so often cloaked in shadows.
Eelus’ series of paper monster art is perfectly spooky and just in time for Halloween. Currently, these pieces on display for the ‘Horrorshow’ exhibition at Brighton’s ‘Ink_d Gallery.’
