Panasonic Avionics Astrov In-Flight Display is Arriving in 2025

United Airlines has announced a new deal with the Panasonic Avionics Corporation to get the brand's Panasonic Avionics Astrov in-flight entertainment (IFE) system into select aircrafts in the coming years. The systems consists of seat back displays that have 4K OLED technology to deliver the sharpest image quality possible when compared to other alternatives on the market. The systems will even be able to provide high-fidelity 3D spatial audio to the passenger via Bluetooth.
United Airlines will be installing nearly 300,000 of the Panasonic Avionics Astrov systems into select Boeing 787 and Airbus A321XLR aircrafts in its fleet, which will be completed in 2025. The IFE upgrades are expected to be part of a wider shift towards immersive aircraft entertainment systems to further elevate the passenger experience.
