United Airlines Installs Panasonic Avionics to its Planes
United Airlines works in collaboration with Panasonic Avionics Corporation to install new features to their airplanes. Together, the duo will be able t install larger and sharper entertainment displays along with Bluetooth connectivity as well. The airline will be implementing about 300,000 units of in-flight entertainment screens on the new Boeing 787 as well as the Airbus A321XLR aircraft.
The new backseat displays are designed to have 4K OLED technology as well, offering much higher contrast ratios and elevated image quality. The company also notes that Astrova will be able to deliver high-fidelity 3D spatial audio through the new Bluetooth technology. This way, it eliminates the need to rely on wired headphones or Bluetooth dongles.
