The amount of food waste created each year is quite high in North America, which could be curbed by new products like the OXO Crisper. Conceptually designed by Mason Umholtz for OXO, the Crisper is intended to be placed in the fruit and vegetable section of your fridge and instantly go to work to absorb ethylene gases from the fresh items. This will help to slow down the ripening process and subsequently limit the occurrence of spoiled foods that go uneaten for too long.
The OXO Crisper identifies the growing number of consumers who are looking for ways to curb their consumption and further decrease their carbon footprint when it comes to their everyday actions and choices.
