This Tokyo house by Takuro Yamamoto Architects features an upper deck designed to act as an outdoor yoga space.
The three-storey 'Little House Big Terrace' home has an upper deck lined with red cedar boards that the couple who owns the home use specifically as an outdoor yoga space. Below the terrace sits a sheltered ground floor patio that is primarily used as a parking space for a vehicle. To help increase privacy while inside, the side of the house facing the road features no windows for a monolithic look.
Large window doors that open towards the terrace grant access outside and let natural light to filter into the residence. The house actually sits in a high density urban area, and was specially designed to face towards where the most sun can shine down towards the yoga area and inside the interior space.
