A few lucky Russians are bouncing their way down a 170 ft. outdoor trampoline, which has recently been installed in a wooded area as part of a design and architecture festival called Archstoyanie.
The outdoor trampoline, which stretches roughly half the length of a football field is dubbed 'Fast Track.' Created by a design firm named Salto, the outdoor trampoline serves as a unique piece of park recreation equipment and, in due time, will most likely become a tourist attraction. Despite the unusual and cool nature of this project, practical questions remain about how such an installation would ever survive the harsh Russian winters.
"Fast track is an attempt to create intelligent infrastructure that is emotional and corresponds to the local context," said Salto. "It gives the user a different experience of moving and percieving the environment."
