The Out of Print eBook jackets are the latest design savvy products from the Brooklyn-based brand that endeavors to enable education through its partnership with Books for Africa. Operating on a one-for-one model, Out of Print showcases iconic book covers on a range of products which began with classic tees almost two and a half years ago.
For this latest venture, Out of Print has set up a Kickstarter page in order to raise the funds necessary to move into the final stages of product development and to cover set up costs.
Enlisting the oldest bookbinder in the US and an MIT mechanical engineer, Out of Print has presented several clever prototypes of the eBook jackets, which will be manufactured for Kindle Fire and iPad. Classic cover art from 10 novels including Lolita, The Great Gatsby and A Clockwork Orange are available for pre-order at the Kickstarter page.
