If you consider yourself a bit of a pasta connoisseur, you may want to check out Traer Joe's new Organic Spaghetti alla Chitarra Pasta.
Though most people are familiar with spaghetti, they may not know that the classic Italian noodle is made a little bit differently in the Italian region of Abruzzo, which is just east of Rome. Here, the noodles are made long and thin, with durum wheat semolina and water. The result is a noodle that's uniquely square, which results in more surface area and incredible sauce-sticking capabilities.
Trader Joe's own Organic Spaghetti alla Chitarra Pasta is made by an Italian supplier that uses its own organic durum wheat semolina and follows the traditional noodle-making process for the Abruzzese version of spaghetti. This means that with a little boiling water, you get a pleasingly al dente pasta that pairs well with all sorts of sauces.
