Yelp's Open to All Filter Informs Consumers of an Organization's Values
Daniel Johnson — November 22, 2019 — Tech
Yelp added a new ‘Open to All’ filter that will help users find an open and inclusive business. The new Open to All filter is available on the Yelp website, as well as Android and iOS devices. Yelp’s new filter allows businesses to opt-in, and this information is then passed on to users of the Yelp platform. Currently, over 300,00 businesses have already opted into the filter.
The new feature makes it easy for consumers to find businesses that are open to all people regardless of their race, gender or sexual orientation. It also makes it easier for organizations to convey their values to prospective consumers. People also have the ability to inform Yelp if businesses do not follow the guidelines of the new filter.
