Sportswear label LA Gear and Skechers partner for a collaboration that makes a sporty model of old school sneakers available to consumers. The silhouette in question is the 'Slammer' which was first debuted in 1988. The model has historic significance as it was "the first basketball-style sneaker made specifically for women."

The LA Gear x Skechers footwear collaboration makes the product available at a very reasonable price. The brands release the new iteration in seven different colorways, giving the consumer demographic ample style options to choose from.

The sporty footwear is not only ideal for playing basketball, but the high-tops aesthetic makes them accessible as an addition to the casual everyday wardrobe.
