OFIS Arhitekti Designs the Frame House in Ljubljana
Amy Duong — April 23, 2024 — Art & Design
Slovenian design studio OFIS Arhitekti designs the Frame House, which is home to a family in Ljubljana. The house is defined by its red-brick tiling that complements the area's pitched-roof buildings. Notably, the Frame House boasts a geometric structure as a large canopy covers the front with pitched sides for function and style. It shelters the paved entrance which also works as an area for the children to play.
OFIS Arhitekti co-founder Rok Oman speaks to Dezeen about the design, stating "As the client loves gardening the idea was to place the house in a way that keeps the back garden as large as possible. Therefore the back of the house is flat and simple, while the entrance yard provides sufficient space for cars and is partly covered with a canopy also creates space for kids to play."
