Belgian design studio Muller Van Severen presents a look at its new Bridges collection for Barcelona Design presented during Milan Design Week this year. It boasts a surreal visual as the cabinets that make up the capsule appear to be resting on a unique base.
Rather than the traditional legs, they are resting on sculptural bottoms that look like bridges, which inspires its namesake. All of the pieces have the same structure and vary in height and bridge shapes. The cabinets have a monolithic look which allows the furniture to be used as pedestals or art sculptures. The studio challenges the traditional idea of a cabinet with the Bridge capsule, turning the designs into artful decor.
