In a world full of unusual contests, this one is definitely an attention-grabber. A group called ‘The Environmentals’ decided to hold a contest for best nude nuclear protest photo. I know this seems a little weird and arbitrary, but the group did this in response to the Russian Miss Atom contest.
The Russian Miss Atom contest selects, in beauty-pageant fashion, contestants who will go on to be spokesmodels for nuclear power. So far, the counter-contest from The Environmentals has garnered little support--there are only seven entries to date--but the idea is to show that the use of sex to promote nuclear energy is ridiculous.
