Frustrated with the way luxury footwear has been progressing, Paule Tenaillon and Marine Braquet decided to strike out on their own and found a new brand called Nomasei.
Tenaillon and Braquet are both veterans of the industry, who met while working side-by-side at Chloé. The two designers were increasingly concerned about the impact of the fashion industry on the environment and wanted to create a more sustainable footwear option. With their new brand Nomasei, Tenaillon and Braquet not only focus on using eco-friendly materials, but also on building a new business model that involves working with partners that support sustainable practices. The result is luxury shoes that are the same quality as other designer brands, but are better for the environment. Even better, all of the shoes are priced under $600.
