Smeg has Partnered With an Artist For the Noir FAB refrigerators

A run of Thierry Noir FAB refrigerators will be released in limited quantities. Noir is commonly recognized as one of the forerunners of Modern Street Art and honed his distinctive style on the Berlin Wall in the early 80's. The artist has since gone on to focus mainly on walls and canvas, but when faced with the unconventional medium of fridges the artist showed no hesitation. This is the first collaboration between Noir and the Australian appliance manufacturer Smeg.
Noir became involved with the FAB refrigerators while on assignment in Sydney and each fridge took a whole day to complete. The style of the designs reflect Noir's style amazingly, with the artist being given full creative control over the design process. The black and white fridges are undoubtedly collector's items, with Noir producing just six fridges. Smeg has not yet announced any of the Noir FAB refrigerators for sale.
