BAE Systems is developing a combination thermal imaging and night vision system that allows soldiers to assess and attack targets in all weather and lighting conditions. The system will also enable soldiers to aim their weapons remotely without having to look through a sight-hole.
This system will allow soldiers to keep their target in sight at all times whilst also being able to aim their weapon without raising it to their eyes. This is because the sight's input is transmitted to soldiers' goggles using a wireless video interface, which allows for the inputs to be fed in real time.
This dual thermal imaging and night vision systems will improve the efficiency and accuracy of battlefield operations while enabling soldiers to engage targets quickly and efficiently, allowing for better operational results.
