Mallet London Presents its New Neptune Sneaker Model
British lifestyle imprint Mallet London introduces its new Neptune Sneaker silhouette as the latest footwear to join its roster. The shoes are made with inspiration from London's skyline, specifically the Gherkin skyscraper. Tommy Mallet, creative director of the brand explains that “The eagerly awaited Neptune represents the rebirth of Mallet London, our creative journey started amidst the council tower blocks, only to soar to new heights with inspiration drawn from the city skyscrapers.”
The Gherkin is in the city's financial district with definitive lines and curves that define the entire building. This makes its way onto the sneaker in the form of interweaving mesh and leather throughout the upper with a molded TPU cage wrapped around. It all rests on a lightweight outsole with an air bubble for stability.
