I am a huge fan of anything black and white and the Nendo Solo Show reaffirmed my love for monochromatic tones. Led by designer Oki Sato from the Japanese design firm Nendo, the Nendo Solo Show in Taiwan featured two collections: 'Thick Black Lines' and 'Dancing Squares.'
Both collections were stunning and most importantly, simple. The spaces they were designed in were created specifically to complement the work.
The Nendo Solo Show even featured some curved walls in the design space in order to achieve a cool fish-eye lens appearance. Designer Oki Sato is well known for his stripped down, minimalist designs and this presentation showcased his talents at their best.
The show was held at the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, which provided the perfect backdrop for Oki Sato to showcase his incredible gift for making something simple and ordinary look truly extraordinary.
