The National Youth Theatre is located in London, England. It recently underwent renovations to revamp and extend the space. Architecture studio DSDHA was tasked with improving the Theatre's facilities to give the organization a greater street presence.
The extension includes an entrance to the National Youth Theatre from Holloway Road. To celebrate the organization's local and national presence, the studio aimed to create an accessible and inclusive space for all members. Clad in green glazed bricks, reminiscent of the facades of local pubs, the single-story extension at the front of the building contains a reception area. It also houses a members' hub and a community studio space. The extension is now known as the Green Room.
