The Discovery Channel's ‘MythBusters’ and President Obama are teaming up on the December 8th, 2010 episode which will explore the work of Archimedes. The scrutineers will test to see if the ancient intellectual really was really able to set fire to an invading Roman fleet using just mirrors and the reflected rays of the sun. Although Mr. Obama was a little upset that he wouldn't be able to blow anything up, he was happy to do his part to promote math and science to American youth.
The White House hopes that together the White House Science Fair and the ‘MythBusters’ and President Obama collaboration will help boost a younger generation’s interest in these areas.
