Google recently announced that it is broadening its multi-search feature, which essentially allows users to search using multiple mediums of images and text. It expands to India now and the company notes this at its Google for India event that took place on Monday.
It stated that the feature will be available in English beginning today and then will be supported in Hindi as of next year. To use the function, users are able to use a photo of a clothing pattern for example and add words including "shirt" or "dress" to find items in that pattern itself. The announcement of this feature was first unveiled in April and October was when it rolled out to American users.
