These MRI systems from Chinese company Magspin Technologies are not what you'd expect to see when walking into a healthcare facility. With a goal of providing comfort and convenience, these systems are inviting and open, making the process of MRI scanning less stressful and more accurate.
American and European companies have been designing more curvy MRI and CT systems as of late, but it is interesting that these designs reinforce the perception that Chinese companies are beginning to move away from industrial looking products and beginning to think about things like comfort and ergonomics.
While it could be argued as to whether these systems fit the bill and are indeed the future of MRIs, there's no doubt that this is boldly going where no one has gone before.
