'Moving Bodies Forward' launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for its upcoming product, the Smartwatch Protection Band. This is a velcro wristband that goes around a wearer's smartwatch and wrist. The product is designed to allow sports players from boxing to motorsports, to continue wearing their smartwatch while performing.
Most athletes remove their smartwatch due to fears of impact damage. Whether damage to the watch, or damage to the wearer's wrist caused by the watch pushing into the skin. This protection band absorbs impact around the watch and cushions the blow, effectively protecting the watch from impact-related damage while reducing any impact to the wearer's wrist by a reasonable amount.
The Smartwatch Protection Band is marketed for convenience, as it saves the athlete time in not having to always stow away their watch and recover it later.
