To help market the movie release of 'Minions,' a theater kiosk was created to help immerse guests young and old in the world of the little yellow characters. Created in collaboration with the film studio behind the movie (Universal Pictures) and point of sale specialist Creo, the kiosk was focused on interactivity.
When movie theater patrons entered the 'Minions' kiosk, they were treated to movie clips, specialized imagery and even a bench to take selfies with the characters.
The innovative approach of the movie release marketing technique is that it can be reused; the cardboard inserts can be replaced with the aluminum frame able to be collapsed for later usage. The marketing kiosk can be resized to suit different parameters for movie studios or theaters.
