Indoor Monoblock Heat Pumps

PHNIX Promotes Its Airmono Product Innovation

PHNIX — a global heat pump manufacturer — has launched the airMono, an indoor monoblock heat pump that uses R290 natural refrigerant with a global warming potential of just three.

airMono delivers a three-in-one function for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water without requiring an outdoor unit. It is specifically engineered for European urban retrofit projects where space constraints make traditional heat pump installations difficult or impossible. The system connects directly to existing water tanks and fits inside kitchens, utility rooms, or garages using air ducting for 100% installation. The indoor monoblock heat pump achieves an A+++ energy rating that qualifies for maximum government subsidies, including the UK's Boiler Upgrade Scheme and Germany's BEG funding, with an additional five percent efficiency bonus for using natural refrigerant.

Indoor Monoblock Heat Pumps
Widespread deployment of all-in-one indoor units that eliminate outdoor condensers creates potential for streamlined retrofits in dense urban housing stock.
Natural Low-gwp Refrigerants
R290 and other low-global-warming-potential refrigerants present a pathway to high-efficiency heating systems that qualify for premium subsidy programs and regulatory favorability.
Space-saving Urban Retrofit Hvac
Integration of compact heating, cooling, and DHW functions into kitchen- or utility-sized footprints addresses the constraint-driven market for heritage and high-density buildings.

Where This Applies

Residential Retrofit Contractors
Smaller, indoor-friendly heat pump systems open opportunities for contractors to offer simplified upgrades in apartments and terraced homes where outdoor installs are impractical.
Urban Real Estate Developers
Multifamily and infill developers are positioned to increase building appeal and regulatory compliance by specifying high-efficiency, subsidy-eligible HVAC solutions that save exterior space.
Appliance and Heat Pump Manufacturers
Producers of household HVAC equipment can capitalize on demand for integrated, high-efficiency monoblocks using natural refrigerants and standardized connections to existing hot-water tanks.
