MOD Pizza, a fast-casual restaurant chain that was founded in Seattle and now has more than 460 locations across the United States, has announced that it will be providing all of its employees with 4 hours of paid time off to be used to receive their COVID-19 vaccines in a timely manner.
To be eligible for the vaccine pay, employees do not need to be scheduled to work on the days they get their shots, and simply need to show proof of vaccination to their manager. MOD Pizza hopes that the move will encourage more of its employees to get their vaccines once eligible to do so, as they will not need to worry about missing out on pay when booking an appointment.
