The Mesh Pan has an Open Design for a Smokey Flavor Palette

Takashi Sekimitsu and GateLightDesign Client work together to create the Mesh Pan for client, NORIDOMI IRON WORKS Co., Ltd. It has a controlled approach to grilling blending the elements of a traditional grill with the function of a cast iron pan.
The Mesh Pan is made to look like a regular pan with a mesh-lined base at the bottom for an open structure that cooks food directly over the fire. This allows the smoke and heat to pass through which allows the flavor and aromas to meet the food for a delectable smokey taste. The food cooks over the fire and when grease drips, it causes more smoke to evoke from the charcoal and onto the food.
