The Memorive Memory + Dive Lighting Box is an all-round unique object, from its unusual hybrid function and its curious operation to its eccentric materiality and appearance.
Beomyoung Sun and Hyunjung Lee's creation is essentially a long four-walled ledge that doubles as a lamp. The interior of the rectangular cubby is concealed, however, by a drapery of white ostrich feathers and a fringe of rabbit fur. When you place your prized possessions inside, the experience of coming in contact with the velvety lining is quite pleasant.
You'll also find that when you run your fingers along the trimming of the Memorive Memory + Dive Lighting Box, it illuminates. The piece gives off an ambient glow and produces silhouettes where its tiny contents stand.
