The conceptual 'Median AMB' vehicle has been created as a solution that aims to accelerate life-saving capabilities for healthcare professionals by eliminating the need to use traditional roadways for transportation.
The vehicle works by sitting directly on top of a highway median to speed past traffic and roadway congestion; this prevents ambulance drivers from needing to maneuver past other vehicles, which increases risk of an additional accident. The ambulance features sliding doors on either side of the vehicle and could revolutionize the process of getting accident victims to the hospital for quicker care.
